Your question is needlessly detailed – it's a common problem for women, that men don't cut their nails, period.

It's unattractive to see a guy show up for a date with dirty nails, or jagged bitten nails. One of the easiest ways most men can boost their attractiveness, in fact, is to properly care for their nails… Not just clipping them, but also filing (not that difficult or time consuming), or even getting the occasional manicure.

It's not a sign of being a hipster, or a threat to your sexuality, guys. Just a really easy way to emulate one of the many practices women use to look good… You get the same benefits, you understand what women go through a little better (go ahead, compliment her nails if they look good, it's the little things), and yes, fewer complaints during hand sex… Though I'd still recommend going the glove/lube route myself, for a variety of reasons.
