I'd only use a rig like that on a road bike – for off road, you really need a good dedicated helmet mounted cam – with higher framerate recording, lots of built-in jitter reduction, etc. I recommend both the Contour and GoPro camera lines – the GoPro has a nice "upgrade" feature in that you could eventually mount two together, and record your rides in 3D.
